1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Humifi. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of the Service

Humifi is an AI-powered platform that improves the clarity, flow, tone, and human-likeness of written text. The Service may also include tools such as AI detection, rewriting, and content quality checks.

We may update or modify features at any time.

3. Account Registration

To access Humifi, you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Humifi. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Breaking laws or regulations
• Attempting to bypass technical restrictions
• Copying, reverse-engineering, or reselling the Service
• Uploading harmful content (malware, abusive or illegal content)
• Using Humifi in a way that could harm others or disrupt the platform

We may restrict access or terminate accounts engaging in abuse.

5. Responsible Use of Humifi

Humifi is designed to help you express your ideas more naturally, clearly, and humanly. We believe AI should support your learning and creativity — not replace your work.

Many students use Humifi to improve drafts, enhance readability, or refine tone. This is exactly how the tool is intended to be used. Whether you're preparing an essay, project, blog post, or personal writing, Humifi can help elevate your communication.

However:

• We do not encourage using Humifi to bypass AI-detection systems in academic contexts.
• We do not endorse submitting humanized AI-generated text as original academic work.
• Educational institutions have their own rules. You are responsible for complying with them. If unsure, consult your instructor or advisor.

Used responsibly, Humifi supports honest, meaningful work that reflects your own voice.

Humifi also includes an AI Check feature to help you understand whether your text may be flagged by detection systems — giving you more clarity about how your writing will be perceived.

You may also use Humifi to improve content following Google's E-E-A-T principles to ensure clarity, trustworthiness, and people-first writing.

6. User Content

"User Content" refers to text or data you submit to Humifi.

6.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of your content. We claim no intellectual property rights over it.

6.2 How We Process Your Content

According to Option A (your chosen rule):

• Content is processed temporarily only to generate results.
• Content is not stored long-term, unless technically required for short-term processing.
• Content is not used to train machine learning models.
• Content is not shared with third parties beyond essential infrastructure providers.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

Humifi offers paid plans using Stripe as our payment provider.

By subscribing, you agree to:

• Provide accurate billing information
• Allow Stripe to process payments on your behalf

7.1 Automatic Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the billing cycle renews.

7.2 Cancellations

You may cancel anytime via your account settings.

Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period.

7.3 Refunds

Refunds are not guaranteed. We may provide a refund at our discretion or where legally required.

8. Third-Party Services

Humifi uses third-party providers such as hosting platforms, infrastructure tools, AI model APIs, and payment processors (including Stripe).

We are not responsible for issues caused by these third parties.

Some features may become unavailable if third-party services experience downtime.

9. Availability & Updates

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your payment fails
• We suspect misuse, fraud, or inappropriate activity

You may terminate your account at any time.

Upon termination, your access ends immediately, and your User Content may be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to the Humifi platform — including design, branding, features, algorithms, and UI — remains our property.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal or business use in accordance with these Terms.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Humifi is provided "as is" and "as available."

We make no guarantees regarding:

• Accuracy of AI-generated content
• Fitness for specific purposes
• Reliability of detection tools
• Availability at all times
• Absence of errors

You use the platform at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by German law:

We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Any harm resulting from misuse or interpretation of AI-generated content

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the last 3 months of your subscription.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany, unless consumer protection laws require otherwise.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes become effective when posted.

Continued use of Humifi after changes constitutes acceptance.
